TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General Policies
– All clients seeking gender-affirming vocal training from Vandom Voice Academy must be 18 years of age or older.
– Vandom Voice Academy will never compel any client to make use of their camera during any session in any way, including (but not limited to) by making use of their camera a condition of beginning or continuing any session. Clients are, however, free to use their cameras if they so choose and/or upon request by Vandom Voice Academy. Clients must, however, be fully clothed and may not engage in any lewd or lascivious acts at any time while on-call with Vandom Voice Academy regardless of whether or not they have chosen to make use of their respective cameras.
– Vandom Voice Academy reserves the right to terminate any session at any time due to any adverse, hostile, predatory, sexual, and/or threatening action(s) taken and/or words spoken and/or typed by any client and/or person(s) present before, during, or at any time after any session. Should Vandom Voice Academy terminate a session due to such an action(s), no refunds will be issued and, depending on the nature and/or severity of the infraction, the involved individual(s) may be promptly reported to law enforcement. Vandom Voice Academy also reserves the right to cancel any and all upcoming sessions for clients in such cases.
– Vandom Voice Academy reserves the right to cancel sessions prior to their initiation due to scheduling conflicts, emergencies, and/or non-emergency issues (e.g. recovering from surgery, helping a loved one(s) recover from surgery, etc.) In such cases, Vandom Voice Academy will issue a full refund (if applicable) and a written explanation(s) for the cancellation(s) as swiftly as possible.
– Vandom Voice Academy reserves the right to record any and all sessions with each vocal training client as part of the training and vocal refinement process. However, recording will not be initiated without the express consent of the client. Clients may withdraw consent for recording at any time and may have a prior recording(s) deleted by Vandom Voice Academy upon request. Clients are entitled to receive a copy of each recording following the conclusion of each session upon request and are actively encouraged to record sessions using their own hardware and software.
– Vandom Voice Academy endeavors to provide authentic casting of BIPOC/PGM, LGBTQIA+, Two-Spirit, polyamorous, neurodivergent, and/or disabled characters across all mediums. Casting recommendations and/or decisions by Vandom Voice Academy will align with this endeavor.
– Vandom Voice Academy provides casting and vocal direction services for projects involving NSFW content on a strictly case-by-case basis. Projects involving lewd, lascivious, and/or sexual actions by characters who are minors or perceived to be minors and/or who are or are intended to be voiced by minors will receive an automatic and non-negotiable rejection. Vandom Voice Academy will also automatically reject audition submissions by known minor VAs for characters who engage in such behaviors.
Disclaimers & Indemnification
– As the experience and severity of gender dysphoria is highly variable and prone to fluctuation, Vandom Voice Academy can not guarantee that vocal training and/or the results of following advice and/or instructions provided before, during, or at any time after sessions through any medium will resolve any or all vocal dysphoria or the effects thereof, which include, but are not limited to: depression, performance and/or social anxiety, and general hesitation to use the voice in any or all public and/or private setting(s). Therefore, Vandom Voice Academy is not responsible for and can not be held liable for the perpetuation of and/or future relapse of vocal dysphoria or any of its effects.
– Vandom Voice Academy is not responsible for and can not be held liable for any form of perceived, temporary, or permanent vocal injury endured by any client before, during, or at any time after sessions of any kind. Vandom Voice Academy is also not responsible for and can not be held liable for any form of perceived, temporary, or permanent vocal injury endured by any client before, during, or at any time after requesting, receiving, and/or following advice and/or instructions provided through any medium outside of any session.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
– Vandom Voice Academy has a strict zero-tolerance policy concerning the usage of artificial intelligence and/or machine learning by clients who wish to or have already contracted Vandom Voice Academy for casting or directing purposes.
– Vandom Voice Academy will ask each prospective client of Vandom Voice Academy seeking assistance with casting and/or vocal direction services to offer the latest National Association of Voice Actors’ Synthetic Voice/Artificial Intelligence Rider to each final cast member to ensure the legal protection of every aspect of each cast member’s unique voice from duplication, synthesis, and/or machine learning-related endeavors.
